My Greatest Accomplishment

Hello, Internet!

Today I'd like to share my personal greatest achievement with you. My greatest achievement would have to be when I became parliamentarian of NJHS in 8th grade.

My achievement was a very happy moment in my life. This is because I reached my goal that I had at the time. To make my goal possible, I had to write a speech presenting my thoughts and plans for the organization. My adversaries were equally as good as I was, but I had to make the public want me to be the one for them.

Getting accepted in NJHS was also not a simple task, I needed to maintain my grades and show the judges I had what it takes to be in that exclusive society. Also, I need to mention all the things I would do to help others through this organization and how I would make a difference.

Success, however, does not equal happiness, but happiness can come from success and vice versa.

For example, if I had not gotten into NJHS or had become parliamentarian, it would not affect the whole of my being. Yes, being successful is good but we shouldn't dwell on what we don't have or didn't do!

Being happy and successful are often the two things that people want the most. I agree that both are important but our whole lives should not revolve around the two.

If we don't succeed we should try and try again! If we still are living with our past goals, how will we plan to achieve our future ones?

I hope that sharing this experience with you, just might make you want to achieve your goals and find your greatest accomplishment! Keep smiling!

Carpe Diem,
Rolee Sharma
