Robert Brault once said, "Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were big things."
If we don't learn to appreciate the little things, then we can be missing out on some of the beauty that surrounds us. Often times, we don't pay attention to small details, only the big ones that pop out at us, when really both can be enjoyed.
Don't let your happiness depend on getting a new iPad, or iPhone (although that could be exciting!) Instead, allow yourself to be happy on the small things such as, someone held open the door for you, or someone lent you a pencil!
Sometimes small gestures can mean as much as big ones. Simple things can be more enjoyable than big grand schemes.
It all depends on perspective. Even the most wealthy people can be unhappy if they don't take the time out of their day to just sit and enjoy the little things.
Life is not meant to be lived in a hurried rush, full of stress. It sometimes requires us to take a break and to stop and smell the roses.
Remember, ourselves are even made up of a dozen little things and if our friends and family can appreciate the little things that make up ourselves, the surely we can appreciate the little things of other people and of this world.
I hope this post reminded to you to take a breath and enjoy life's little joys!
Carpe Diem,
Rolee Sharma ❤
